Holiday "wet" Weekend
New Years Weekend in ReviewAs far back as my memory will let me, I can't remember the last time i went out on New Years Eve and for that matter had fun. This year i kept with the tradition of staying in, being lazy, and avoiding all the drunk idiots that find this night a reason to get out of control and "celebrate?" It rained here all damn weekend. When i say "rained" it actually "poured" here nonstop. As you already know, i hate the rain. Another good reason to stay in and be lazy. This weekend opened my eyes, brought back bad memories of last year at this time when it was a monsoon all winter long. Winter in SoCal is here and i don't much care for it. Mind you...it is nothing like the winters i have experienced in the past, the midwest is hell during the winter. I still don't care for it and would welcome sunshine any day! The sun has finally made an arrival after the shittiest wet weekend ever. And i am back to work.
My best friend asked me last night..."are you ready to get back to work?" My response was actually YES! I wanted to go back to work yesterday to tell you the truth. Who the hell wants a holiday weekend to end? I mean no one! Well i did. Not that my job is that wonderful, it is great but who wants to work no matter where it is? A small percentage of the population. Can guarentee you that. So here i am, back at my desk. My 30 minutes of quiet time. I love this time i have to myself in the morning. Latte in hand, complete silence, cold shivers, starring at the computer thinking and planning out the million tasks that will need to be completed at work today.
Did i forget to mention Romeo hates the rain too? Well he is a spoiled brat and so it is no wonder he hates it. Well when i mean hate it, i mean he acts as if he is some prince, looks up at me with this glassy stare when we walk out to the rain. "Mom make this rain stop now! It is time for our walk!" This is what he says to me. As if he is mad at me for not being able to stop the rain. He prances through the puddles, trying to jump over every one of them. Shakes off the drops on his coat every 20 seconds and hurrys along to get home. Crazy b/c he will do anything to be outside any time of the day. But when the rain starts...the brat would prefer we go for a walk "inside" our 10x10 apartment. Poor guy! When the rain let up for a few hours yesterday, his girlfriend came over and we all went for a long walk on the back bay. The two puggles were nuts...running around, chasing squirrels, lizards, other dogs, in complete heaven.
