Who is Mr.Sir?

Mr. Sir is the lucky man that married my mother...which makes him my stepdad. There is a funny story behind this name...i won't bore you with that. Basically, my stepdad likes to be refered to as Mr. Sir. Started out as a joke...i said it so much to him jokingly that it stuck. That is his name to me. You see...our family is big on nicknames. I very rarely call anyone in my family by their given name or for that matter what normal folks call their parents: mom and dad. The nicknames have even spread to the dogs. Those poor dogs have so many names...but the smart fido's will come to all of them.
My mom is often refered to as: Mel or Mela. Her given name at birth was 'Pamela.' Mel and Mela stem from her name and will also be used by her grandchildren someday...for now...the dogs call her that.
My father is often refered to as: Gpa. His given name at birth was 'Ken.' Gpa was appointed to him by my sisters (older) dog: Sophia. You see...we also refer to my fathers home as 'Gpa Land.' We now strictly call my father 'Gpa' and we all love to go to 'Gpa Land.'

So there you go for the nicknames. Of course there is many many more...my older sister...is "sis" to me. Never call her by her given name. My little sister is Aunt Snug...don't even ask. Do you see how most of these gay names are actually given by the dogs? Yes...i know...our dogs are brilliant and they like to make up nicknames!
