Puppies R Comin

My dad has two black labs, female Suzie, male Dax. His pride and joy bird hunters. Dax is getting old and they have been trying to breed the two for probably 4 years now, seems like. My dad likes to go into graphic detail on their mating behavior all these years. Suzie just can't seem to get pregnant. Don't know why. Can't figure it out. So at family dinners, nana all ears, my dad explains that they think Dax is "shooting blanks." We stop him before he goes any further. Too much information. So finally, they decide to breed Suzie with another black male. Baaaammmm she's pregnant! Hey, hey, what do you know?

Suzies due date was this week. She gave birth to a healthy yellow male early this morning. The second one was a chocolate, sadly he didn't make it. It has been 6 hours and she hasn't delivered anymore pups. I just talked to my dad and they have taken her to the vet and inducing labor. We will know soon if she will start delivering naturally or if she will need a c-section.

It makes me very sad to not be there to see this live birth and the most precious pups!

Monday Morning Puppy Update:
The vet waited too long to do a c-section and when he finally performed it he got 2 more pups out alive, and 6 were dead. What an idiot of a vet. My dad is upset. He was expecting a large litter. Has most reserved and he was going to keep one. Not now. They did however get 1 yellow, 1 chocolate, 1 black. Thats exciting! Wish i could see the little things.
